Documented Cemetery Projects
Real Cemetery Preservation Work, Documented with Before-and-After Photos, Process Images, and Written Project Notes
Gravestone Revival documents cemetery care projects throughout Saratoga County, Montgomery County, and Fulton County, New York to help families understand the work completed at a loved one’s gravesite.
This project archive will feature real gravestone cleaning, gravestone leveling and reset work, family plot maintenance, headstone repair and stabilization, bronze marker care, and documented cemetery preservation projects completed in local cemeteries.
These pages are not generic portfolio posts. They are preservation records showing cemetery context, before conditions, field work, process steps, completed results, and realistic expectations.
What This Project Archive Is For
The purpose of this hub is to show real cemetery preservation work in a clear, respectful, and educational way. Many families want to understand what happens before, during, and after a cemetery care visit — especially when they live out of town and cannot visit regularly.
Each documented project may include cemetery setting photos, before conditions, process images, cleaning results, leveling and reset progress, family plot care, and final presentation documentation.
Some projects involve one memorial. Others involve several gravestones within the same family plot. The project itself is the record, and each memorial is documented as part of the larger cemetery care story.
Why Documentation Matters
Before-and-After Clarity
Before-and-after photos help families clearly see what changed during the visit, including improved readability, reduced biological growth, corrected alignment, or improved family plot presentation.
Process Transparency
Project photos show the work itself, including hand cleaning, careful excavation, leveling preparation, reset work, and final review. This helps families understand the care taken in the cemetery.
Preservation Records
Documented projects create a visual record of memorial condition, cemetery setting, and completed work for families, future planning, and ongoing cemetery care decisions.
Featured Documented Projects
The documented project archive will grow over time as new cemetery care projects are completed and organized. The first featured projects include family plot work, gravestone cleaning, and gravestone leveling and reset documentation.

How Project Pages Will Be Organized
Each individual project page will be organized around the complete cemetery care project, not just a single stone. This matters because many cemetery projects include more than one memorial, especially family plot cleanings, multi-stone leveling work, and combined cleaning and maintenance visits.
- Project overview — cemetery, town, county, and type of work completed
- Memorials included — individual stones or family plot markers documented within the project
- Before condition — biological growth, sinking, tilting, staining, readability, or plot condition
- Process documentation — cleaning, leveling, reset work, excavation, base preparation, or maintenance
- Completed result — final presentation and preservation-focused outcome
- Realistic expectations — what improved immediately and what may continue improving over time
- Related services — cleaning, leveling, repair, plot maintenance, bronze care, or flower placement
